Author Guidelines

Norms of the University Journal of Philosophy and Education ISEHF Javier.

Regarding the structure of the articles and the way in which citations and bibliographic references should be included, we refer authors to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, APA 7th edition, 2019. Likewise, we indicate below the basic norms that manuscripts must adhere to:

  • Works submitted for the first time will be anonymous; that is, they will not include the author's data. Once accepted and reviewed, the author's name, institution, etc. will be added.
  • Maximum length of articles: 15,000 words, including spaces, titles, abstracts, keywords, and bibliography.
  • Maximum length of reviews: 3,000 words.
  • Abstracts and summaries should contain between 100 and 200 words, with descriptors or keywords of five or seven words.
Font type: Text - Times New Roman, 12 pts; line spacing: 1.5.
  • Titles in capital letters and 16 pts; abstracts, keywords, and bibliography: 11 pts.
  • Notes, always at the foot of the page, 10 pts.
  • Bold and underlining are not allowed; only italics, «angle quotes» and “English quotes”, depending on the case. The order of the quotes will be as follows: angles, English, and simple: «--- “---`--´---” ---».
  • Structure of the articles: Title, title in English, author's name, institution, summary, keywords, abstract, and keywords. An asterisk after the author's surname will lead to their postal and electronic addresses, academic position, etc.
  • Additionally, it will be indicated whether the manuscript was developed thanks to the grant of a research project, scholarship, or similar.
  • After these headings, the article should be ordered into sections, all numbered, beginning with an introduction and ending with a conclusions section.
  • Acknowledgments and bibliography will be written below.
  • Figures and tables should be incorporated into the text, numbered, and indicating their respective legends. Italicized font, 10 pts.
  • Quotes of less than 40 words should be incorporated into the text in quotation marks. Quotes that exceed that amount of words will compose a block outside the text, indented, 11 pts, and without quotation marks.

PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION to the instructions included in Ensuring Anonymous Evaluation. These imply that you delete all data from the body of the written work that can be related to you as the author (Your name, your email, for example). This is essential to correctly carry out the referee of your work. If you are unsure how to remove your personal information from your work file, you can consult:
